Boardgrid collects nothing. It has no account, no server and no analytics. It makes no network requests of its own — there is no code in the app that opens a connection to us, because there is nowhere for it to connect to.
What the app stores, and where
Everything you enter — your units, your guests and their households, bookings, check-ins, payments, incidents and your rate card — is stored on your device.
- On your device. The working copy of your facility's book, plus any vaccination certificates and arrival photos you attach, and a local log of actions that change money.
- In your own iCloud. If you are signed in to iCloud, the book syncs between your devices through Apple's key-value store, and backups you take are written to your iCloud Drive. This is your Apple account and your storage. We have no access to it and no way to request access.
Nothing is sent to us or to any third party. There is no telemetry, no crash reporting service, no advertising identifier and no tracking of any kind. The app's privacy manifest declares this and Apple enforces it.
Camera and photo library
Boardgrid asks for the camera and photo library only when you tap to attach an arrival photo or a vaccination certificate. The image is written into the app's own storage on your device. It is never uploaded. If you refuse permission, every other part of the app continues to work.
Subscriptions
Boardgrid Pro is an auto-renewable subscription sold by Apple. Payment is handled entirely by the App Store: we never see your name, your card, or your address. The app asks Apple whether this Apple ID holds a subscription and receives yes or no. Manage or cancel it in Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions on your device.
Deleting your data
Settings → Erase everything removes the book, the attached documents and the local archive from the device, and clears the synced copy from your iCloud key-value store. Backups you have already written to iCloud Drive or exported as files are yours; delete them like any other file. Because we hold nothing, there is nothing for you to ask us to delete.
Children
Boardgrid is a tool for operating a boarding facility. It is not directed at children and collects no information from anyone.
Changes
If this policy ever changes, the date at the top changes with it. Since the app collects nothing, any change would be a clarification rather than a new use of your data.
